You would be hard pressed to walk into a business school and find many people who dream of working for a nonprofit organization like the ACLU or Planned Parenthood. But for Karenna Hunt, one of our resident Software Testing Associates and former InstaQueen, business and social good don’t exist at opposite ends of a moral spectrum. In fact, as she studies Business and Information Systems at Cal Poly, she’s also pursuing a minor in Women and Gender Studies.
When she’s not working, Karenna is a fun seeker. Whether it’s hiking or studying abroad in Prague, she never stops looking forwards to the next adventure. With a knack for knowing what looks good, feels good, sounds good, and is good, Karenna is an important litmus test for Ulzi’s team.
Even though she’s bounced around departments and now hangs her hat in software, Karenna still has an undeniable impact on the marketing team here at Ulzi. Her ideas and insights are still passed along to the newer social media managers. She drops by to check up on testing and give feedback on marketing ad materials. There’s little bit of Karenna is just about every Ulzi project.
With a liberal arts temperament applied to business-like thinking and drive, Karenna finds crossroads at which she can allow her degree and social sensibilities to coexist. More than that, she finds ways for them to thrive. It’s that drive for conscious capitalism that makes her such a good match for the Ulzi team.
